Aim
To provide a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Paddle Canada Flatwater Kayaking Instructor course.

The Sea Kayaking Flatwater Instructor Trainer is certified to:

• Conduct Paddle Canada Flatwater Kayaking Instructor courses and to certify Instructors at that level.
• Co-Instruct with a Level 1 Instructor Trainer on a Sea Kayaking Level 1 Instructor course.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites are to be completed prior to the assessment process.

Flatwater Instructor Trainer Candidate must have:

• Certification: Sea Kayaking Instructor Level 1.
• Experience: Taught two or more Level 1 Skills courses

Assessment

• A Level-1 Instructor Trainer is required assess a Flatwater Instructor Trainer.
• Flatwater Instructor Trainer is acheived through the mentorship process.
