Aim
To provide a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Paddle Canada Sea Kayaking Instructor Level 2 course.

The Sea Kayaking Instructor Trainer Level 2 is certified to:

• Conduct Paddle Canada Flatwater Kayaking Instructor, Sea Kayaking Instructor Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses and to certify Instructors at those levels.
• Certify Flatwater and Level 1 Instructor Trainers

Prerequisites

Prerequisites are to be completed before the assessment process.

Instructor Trainer Level 2 candidate must have:

• Certification: Level 3 Instructor certification.
• Experience: Taught at least two Level 3 skills courses

Assessment

• A minimum of one Level 2 Instructor Trainer and one Level 3 Instructor Trainer is required to assess a Sea Kayak Instructor Trainer Level 2.
• Sea Kayaking Level 2 Instructor Trainer is acheived through the mentorship process.
