Aim
The River Kayaking Instructor Level 2 course is designed to provide a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Flatwater Kayaking and River Kayaking Programs.

Upon successful completion of the River Kayaking Instructor Level 2 course, the Instructor may:

• Conduct PC Flatwater, River Kayaking 1 skills and River Kayaking Level 2 skills courses and to certify paddlers at those levels on flatwater or moving water.

Prerequisites

• At least 18 years of age.
• Current PC membership and Provincial or Territorial membership.
• PC Level 2 skills, Level 1 Instructor certification.
• Current Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR
• It is strongly recommended that River Kayaking Level 2 Instructors have some qualification in River Rescue and Wilderness First Aid

5 days minimum

Class ratio
1 trainer: 6 instructor candidates
