River Kayaking Level 2 Skills

Aim
The River Kayaking Level 2 course represents the highest skill level and provides candidates with the opportunity to improve their white water skills on more challenging white water (class III-IV). Kayakers taking this course should have considerable paddling experience beyond the River Kayaking Level 1 course.

Prerequisites
Certification: River Kayaking Level 1 course or equivalent skills and experience with the permission of the course director.
Participants are encouraged to take a River Rescue Course and a Basic First Aid Course.

Course Length
18 hours minimum

Class ratio
1 instructor: 6 participants

Conditions
All manoeuvres are to be performed on Class 2+ to 3+ Moving Water.
