Canoe Poling Instructor Trainer
PREREQUISITES
The following criteria must be met before application may be made for Canoe
Poling Instructor Trainer status:
- The applicant must be a member of PC and the provincial/territorial affiliate association and an active canoeist.
- The applicant must hold PC Canoe Poling Instructor's certification.
- Application may only be made a minimum of two years after receiving that PC Poling Instructor certification.
- The applicant must have instructed full time on a least two PC accredited Canoe Poling Instructor Courses
- At the time of the application, the applicant must be an active participant in the instruction of the PC Canoeing Program or in its administration.
- The applicant must attend a one-day Instructor Trainer clinic.
GRANTING PROCESS
- The written application must be made to PC. Documentation to verify fulfilling the prerequisites must be included with the application. Applications will then be sent to the appropriate provincial/territorial affiliate association for their approval.
- The awarding of PC Instructor Trainer status will be considered by PC and appropriate provincial/territorial affiliate association.
- The applicant will be notified in writing if his/her status of PC Poling Instructor Trainer by the provincial/territorial affiliate association within six weeks of application
