Any Paddle Canada member, or subscriber to KANAWA, Canada's Paddling Magazine may choose to cancel their membership or subscription to KANAWA at any time. The request must be received by the Membership Services department, in writing from the account holder, should be dated and should list the last issue received by the client. Although no reason is legally required, your feedback would be greatly appreciated in helping us to improve our service to our clients.

Refunds

Where payment was originally applied by VISA, MasterCard or American Express, refunds will be applied directly to the client's credit card. For those accounts paid by cheque or money order Paddle Canada will issue any refund via cheque.

Paddle Canada will refund Members for the balance of their membership plus any issues remaining, calculated as follows:

Refund = (MP / NM) + ((SP / NI)* IR))

where;
MP = Membership price
NM = Number of months remaining
SP = Current Subscription Price
NI = Total Number of issues
IR = Issues remaining

For example, John Q Public decides after, receiving 2 issues of his 1 year Paddle Canada Complete Membership Package (4 issues), that KANAWA is not to his liking. John joined Paddle Canada in Dec and his cancellation request arrived in June. His refund amount would be $13.56, calculated as follows:

Refund = ($42.40/6) + (($19.26/4 issues) * 2 issues remaining))
  $7.07 + ($4.82 * 2 issues remaining)
  $7.07 + $9.64
  $16.71

For those individuals who opt for, and choose to cancel, a Paddle Canada Membership only, Paddle Canada will refund for the balance of the membership only, calculated as follows:

Refund = (MP / NM)

where;
MP = Membership price
NM = Number of months remaining

Payment should be expected no later than 10 business days (14 days) after receipt of your request.
