Paddle Canada is the home for recreational canoeing, river kayaking, sea kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. You will find information on this site about our national paddling courses for all ages whether you are new to paddling, a keen beginner, advanced paddler or wanting to become an instructor. Please Search for a course near you!
Paddle Canada currently represents over 1,700 members and growing annually. We have both individual and instructor member categories and linked to 8 Regional Member Paddling Associations and 2 Affiliate Member Associations.
We also run several regional paddling events/symposiums in different parts of the country such as the Pacific Paddling Symposium and National Paddling Week. We host and deliver a paddling film festival called the Waterwalker Film Festival and manage the Bill Mason Scholarship Fund to award education bursaries to the young paddling/environment stewards of tomorrow. Our media partner is Rapid Media who provides a magazine as a membership benifit.
A special thanks to Keen Footwear for their financial assistance in further training of the PaddleSmart program for spring and summer 2014. PaddleSmart is a nationally federally endorsed recreational paddling safety community program in partnership with AdventureSmart, the National Search and Rescue Secretariat and Parks Canada.
